This past week for some reason has been really stressful for me. I didn't have any tests or exams or even papers due, but I just felt like it dragged on forever. So last night, I randomly decided to drive the three or so hours back home. Usually the drive is just really boring and makes me wish someone would invent teleportation or something. I mean, it's 2012, weren't we supposed to have that by now? Anyway, I think I really needed that drive. I was able to think a lot (and sing...quite loudly...) and it was definitely what I needed.
I've spent the weekend so far by being lazy and watching movies with my brother and stepmom. I probably should have brought some homework home, but I left in a hurry so I'll finish it tomorrow night...hopefully. Right now we're watching some movie that I cannot recall the name of. It has George Clooney and Ryan Gosling in it, though. I expected it to be good (partly because of the stars...) but it's honestly really boring. No offense if you like this movie. The Ides of March is what it's called, according to my stepmom.
I really don't know what I intended to write about in this blog, I just don't really feel like watching this movie and it's nice to type out thoughts, no matter how incoherent they most likely seem. Also, I'm not a fan of this cold weather. It can start being warm again anytime...
I also find driving helps me think, and when I get bored, I sing too.
ReplyDeleteSometimes alone time is all we college kids need. Sometimes we need to be alone with our thoughts because if you think about it, we are probably alone only 98% of the time. There's really no privacy. I'm glad you got some down time though!
ReplyDeleteI have always said that if I could have a super power it would be teleportation
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a freshman at Ohio State I used to call a cab to get to my car parked at a church 10 minutes away (where a priest was graciously letting me keep it) and then drive the 6.5 hours back to Knoxville from Columbus. Talk about desperate haha! The driving and alone time was always nice though.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would love it if we had teleportation, too!
