Random Ramblings

I'm not sure what to write my blog about this week, so I figured I would just start typing whatever came to mind. This may or may not work out well. Here goes nothing.
This morning I absolutely did NOT want to wake up. I mean, that's how I feel most Monday mornings, but for some reason it was worse today. After trying to keep myself awake through my incredibly boring accounting class, I decided that I needed to get some Starbucks to keep me awake for English class. I normally try to stay away from coffee--I just don't like the taste, and it's a bit too expensive. Thankfully, Starbucks makes those sugary drinks that taste nothing like coffee, so I got one of those. I've been weirdly tired lately, and I don't know why. I probably slept more than I was awake this weekend, honestly. I was productive as well, I didn't just sit in my room all weekend, but a lot of it was still spent in my bed or sleeping on the futon. I think I sleep so little during the week that my body needs to catch up on the weekends. The Starbucks is wearing off now and I'm debating taking a nap later since I don't work today. Naps are probably one of the greatest things in my life. This blog is making close to zero sense right now, so I'll just stop it here.

  1. Don't worry it made sense. It seems like what every single college kid needs is a really good 24 hour nap! Have you ever tried the salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks? It's a Christmas product and I know it sounds disgusting, but it tastes incredible!!!

  2. I do not really like coffee either. I am already a hyper person. so coffee makes me go buzzerk!

  3. I always put flavor shots in my light roast coffee. It's cheaper than getting a mocha or something and makes it taste less like coffee (probably still more coffee-ish than you'd like though).

  4. Sammie! Your post made tons of sense. It made me want to take a big long nap. I feel like we get gypped out of sleep in college. I had to do some research for a class yesterday and apparently article 24 in The Universal Declaration of Human Rights says that every human has the right to rest and leisure.... I read that and wanted to fall out of my chair! COLLEGE TAKES AWAY A HUMAN RIGHT. No joke... although we do it to ourselves for sure, and I get plenty of leisure time and rest even while I'm supposed to be doing homework all the time. I don't have to not sleep, but I never sleep enough. So whatever hahah. Goodness. Thought that was great though.

    2. Haha, Rebecca's find was great. Sleep goes out the window in college, unfortunately...
